photos from Casa Del Mar on Cozumel....
This is the rather plain Jane room that we had at Casa del Mar Dive Resort. But, the room was clean, the bedding was clean. The tiles on the floor were Un-broken. They did have an old fashioned key for the room, rather than an electronic system.

They also didn't have a safe in the room. But, that wasn't that big of a problem. The maids seemed really professional. They even had them wearing uniforms, which was kind of fun to see. We tipped the maids a couple of dollars and they did a good job with our room. But, boy-oh-boy, this bed was hard in comparison to the beds at Le Reve.
Downstairs at the front desk they had old fashioned two key system safety deposit boxes. We didn't use them because we were about out of money anyway. So, I just kept my wallet with us wherever we went.

We ate at the hotel's restaurant that first night. Of course, I had the Steak Tampequena. That is it pictured above.
Heather had the fajitas. They were really, really good.
by their front entrance to the hotel, they had a huge hand carved bench. I loved it! I'm not sure that you can buy something like this in the States.

This is our attempt at a selfie taken on the same bench

This is the view of the setting sun taken from Casa Del Mar.

This photo is of the pool taken from the pedestrian bridge that the hotel built to take people safely from their hotel to the snorkel area across the busy street. That big palapa (thatched roof structure) in the background is the onsite restaurant.

This photo is taken from the pool looking out towards the sea and the setting sun.
These short videos are of the snorkeling area across the pedestrian bridge. Below is Part 1 of a short two part video that I took to show the snorkeling area. It is hard to describe the water without a video.
Here is part 2 of the same video. That water is magical. Breath-takingly beautiful I believe is the phrase that I used to describe it.
